Description:
Mutsamudu, island of Anjouan, Comoros. Sea turtle with a remora. Remoras are poor swimmers because they lack a dorsal fin, so to move around they cling to larger fish with their clinging discs placed on their heads, rather like suction cups. They are famous for their association with sharks and, as here, with turtles. They also rid their hosts of any parasites.
