Istanbul, Turkey. The Nuruosmaniye mosque or Nuruosmaniye Camii is situated near the Grand Bazar of Istanbul. The mosque was designed by greek architect Siméon Kalfa and was built in the XVIIIth century (1748-1755). The mosque was named after sultan Osman III although its construction started under the reign of sultan Mahmud I.
