Shatila, UNRWA camp. Kheir Mohsen was born 1951 in Chatila. 1973, during a demonstration, he loses his eye sight after a beating by the Lebanese army. 1985, during the "camp wars", his wife was hit by a sniper while helping a red-cross worker save a wounded man. She lost her left leg. Kheir Mohsen, his wife and five children live with less than 200 US dollars per month in a two room apartment inside the camp. In the bed room Kheir Mohsen’s mother-in-law is peeling third grade potatoes recovered from the Sabra market.
