Description:
Düsseldorf-Mörsenbroich, Germany. The Catholic church of St. Francis Xavier (St. Franziskus Xaverius) on the left, on the right is the former main administration building of the insurance company ARAG (Allgemeine Rechtsschutz-Versicherungs AG). The church was built between 1928 and 1929 to designs by architects Hans Tietmann (1883-1935) and Karl Haake (1889-1975). The building is made of reinforced concrete with a brick cladding. The ARAG building, "an important contribution to the architecture of the 1950s in Düsseldorf", was built in 1956 by the architect Helmut Rhode (1915-1995).
