Description:
Djougou, Benin. Gaani Festival. Soaked by the rain, the riders decide to cut short the show and return accompanied by the griots and their talking drums. Tradition dictates that all the riders leave together and each is accompanied to their home in the order of their rank: the head butcher is accompanied first, then the president, the vice-president of the association and so on according to the rank of each rider. the last one returning alone... Griots and musicians announce on the drum the arrival of each person.
