Tout au long du Sîq un chenal a été creusé du côté gauche (en allant vers le site) pour acheminer l'eau vers la cité de Petra. Ils étaient couverts à l'origine. Sur le côté droit, c'est des tuyaux d'argile qui étaient utilisés pour acheminer l'eau. A water channel are carved into the left (when going towards the site) wall of the Siq. They were originally covered. On the right hand side, clay pipelines were used to transport water into the ancient city. Wasserleitungen wurden in die linke (in Richtung Petra) Siq-Wand gemeißelt. Ursprünglich war diese Leitung bedeckt. An der rechten Seite wurden Tonrohre zur Leitung des Wassers benutzt.
