Description:
Petra, Jordan. The obelisk tomb, or "Nefesh" tomb, was carved by the Nabateans in the 1st century AD, slighyly earlier than the bottom storey classical style Triclinium (banqueting hall). At the top are four pyramids or 'Nefesh' as well as a niche with a statue in bas-relief, symbolic representations of the five people buried in the tomb.
