Beirut, Lebanon. The Museum of Modern Art Beirut, the Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock Museum. What was once the private villa of wealthy aristocrat Nicolas Ibrahim Sursock, was built in 1912 and is a magnificent example of Lebanese architecture with its Venitian and Ottoman influences. The Museum was renovated and expanded by architects Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Jacques Abou Khaled between 2008 and 2015.
